Hilarious, rib tickler comedy. I know a girl just like her. Don't we all ?

She's a devil with god's own luck. The people around her worship her even as she slaughters their jobs, reputations, family life and health. She's a monster pretending to be a saint.

And then the devil gets married and her sister sighs a huge sigh of relief and throws a party. And then the devil starts visiting her old home every time her husband is out of town.

Imagine a bully who is praised for every insult because her luck always turns in her favor. Imagine that bully is your sister and you are her favorite target.

They call her an ally of Justice. Blind Justice.

Oh my god, this is a drama. Watching now. Still prefer the manga version, I don't think the actress playing the older sister is beautiful enough for the role, but that's just me.

Hell's Kitchen Manga

Crazy story, cooking and demons.

This demon, the Earl of Poor Eating, named Dogma, is hungry for souls. Souls of world class chefs. But when they get that title, their souls are sour and bitter with arrogance and greed. Dogma is not pleased so he hatches the perfect plan, raise a chef himself.

Pick a soul, a good one, already flavored with ideals and contentment and then make that soul a chef without spoiling the original qualities. Easy, right?

The soul Dogma picks does not know how to cook and has no intention of being eaten.

Reminds me of Demon Detective Neuro and Black Butler and Nobunaga's Chef. Which is a brilliant start to a promising story, hitting all the high points. And the recipes and cooking techniques are real, not like in Gourmet Hunter Toriko, which was a very weird read.

Saike Mata Shite mo Manga

This made me cry. Equal exchange, life for a life, fate that can not be averted with any other price.

I remembered xxxHolic while reading this. Everything for a price, but do you know what the true value is? In pain and suffering? Are you really willing to pay that much and for what?

This kid is unremarkable, ordinary and worse of all, he's lying to himself. Yup, he's content with his life, content with doing nothing and being nobody.

Until one day, his best friend dies and he kills himself, only to wake up in his own bed to find time has reversed itself. He thanks God for his second chance and does everything in his power to save his best friend.

Nothing works and he wake up again and again after committing suicide just to watch his best friend die in front of his eyes. Until he realizes what he must do. Die in her place.

Shuumatsu no Tenki

Reminds me of Death Note, but with not so many rules.

Loser protagonist who finds it difficult to fit into society gets a gift/curse, he says the word bang and points with right index finger, the person he points at is sucked into a black hole.

First he has fun with it, experimenting and getting rid of his enemies. No evidence because no body.
Then the accidents start to happen. Bang is part of many words and sentences and pointing is natural.

Try it out, do you want this super power? Sounds like Midas Touch to me.

Abide in the Wind

World of magic as science. Suspend your disbelief willingly, this is worth the effort.

They call them colossal birds that rule the skies, we call them dragons.

The last dragon alive is being hunted. Still immature, with a guide, a human girl finds them. Accepting her as a suitable vessel for the Dragon Pearl, the guide tricks her into sacrificing her life to guard him and his immature charge.

Unfortunately for the guide, the dragon child has other plans for the human girl. Yup, this is a romance but it is packed full with action.

Delicious artwork with beautiful color, strong plot. Read it.

Black Haze

Hilarious, lol . World of magic, different levels of power. Very creepy backstory. Who created Magic, is it gift or curse?

Little kid is the best magician in the organization. When he awakens, he is a young man. Really handsome, tall and dark. He's got fans and obsessive stalkers. He's even got an arch enemy who is obsessed with him.

As his normal shape and size, he is lonely, so his guardian enrolls him in a magic school for a mission, protect a noble son from his bullies and fix the problem.

Well, you think you've seen it all, just by looking at the story from the top, but you're forgetting the undercurrents. Twisty, twisty story here, will smash all your expectations to dust.

Warnings for violence and head banging plot.

The Dragon next door

Exactly like the title says.

So this kid finally gets his own place and buys rice cake to give his neighbor. A house warming tradition. He walks in the unlocked house and sees a dragon playing video games.

The dragon is a bestselling author of a fantasy series depicting a friend of a friend's real life story.

Love the scene where the dragon tries to ignore any mention of his deadline. I totally understand it.

He's a dragon and so is his sister and their mother. His sister meets the son of her mother's old friend and sparks, fire, misunderstandings happen. L O V E or what do dragons call it - hell fire.

Funny, and cheerful, lighthearted story.

DICE The cube that changes everything

O.K, this is a creepy, frightening look at society. Think Lord of the Flies but worse.

If you could gamble to improve your looks, your skills, your very being and self, would you? No matter the risks to yourself or to others? How willing are you to demonize yourself?

Would you do it if everyone else around you is? Would you justify your own behavior? Would you forget your own moral code?

 Or because society imposes morals, we create a moral code in accordance, if we were left with no supervision, we would all be free to be the monsters we always have been in our thoughts.

Humans are creepy fascinating. All that we can be, for good or bad.

Read this manga, it will give you nightmares and keep you up afterwards, wondering.

Lookism

Crazy manga this one. Exactly what I like.

Hero is overweight and bullied relentlessly. Life is shit until he finds another body to occupy. Nope, this is not reincarnation. This is two bodies and one soul that hops in between.

The trick is sleep, you fall asleep in one and wake up in the other. If you wake up the sleeping body, the awake body falls asleep.

Vicious humor, ripping the blinds off your eyes, society at it's disgusting worse, where appearances matter because majority of humans are sighted and judge using solely that sense.

My Shiny World

Fascinating plot. Lovely art.

This girl can see evil intent as dark shadows covering human bodies. All is well until her mother betrays her. Then she stops trusting people and making friends.

Now she meets a strange guy and her life begins to change. He's rude but kind at heart.

Kind of reminds me of Sensory Couple and I hear your voice. Both very good dramas.

KONJIKI NO MOJI TSUKAI - YUUSHA YONIN NI MAKIKOMARETA UNIQUE CHEAT Manga

Not the Shield Hero story but a similar one. Alternate world travel and become a hero story.

Light novel translation is complete while manga is incomplete. I read the novels.

Story is solid here. Takes time to develop but you end up rooting for Hiro, the Innocent Bystander, not the other four heroes. He's real, with actual feelings and he works hard and he is no fool.

I'll be honest, the story style is unusual, so you might find it difficult to get used to it, but the plot is good. Give it a try.

Demon Detective Neuro

Two versions, manga and anime, but I prefer the manga. The plot lines diverge so try to do both.

Neuro is a demon who eats mysteries. Special puzzles that are created from the darkness that resides in souls. When he feasts, the criminal's soul is utterly shattered, all willpower disappears and he confesses freely.

In Black Butler, Sebastian is a crow and Claude is a spider. Neuro is a purple hyacinth macaw. Mind blink.

Neuro uses a high school girl as his cover, pretends she's the master detective and he's her pupil, this is semi funny because he's a sadistic master and she's his play toy/slave/puppet, all done as a joke, o.k, I never really got that part, felt it was unnecessary for the story. Bonding or toughening exercise?

The puzzles get more mind bending and bloody as we go further into the story, where the meat cooks over a slow flame, and then we meet X of the red box, very creepy serial killer who becomes obsessed with Neuro and brings him closer to his demonic death.

Qualia the Purple

I read this first as a manga and it made me cry. No lie. There is a light novel series as well.

Gorgeous, gorgeous plot, characters that steal your heart and make you feel.

I always felt there was a hint of girls love, but there is no proof. Never mind.

There is this girl Yukari who thinks people are robots, because her eyes see robots when she looks at people. Along with this strange curse is an equally strange gift - She can repair robots to brand new condition even if they are in pieces.

Another girl Gaku befriends her and almost dies in an accident. Luckily Yukari repairs her with her cellphone and saves her life. This is not the first time Yukari has used her powers and a shadowy organization full of people with abilities contacts her with an offer of training.

Yukari dies in mysterious circumstances and Gaku goes mad. She burns the world in search of answers and discovers she can call up her alternate selves and transfer knowledge.
